We’re Huzefa and Fatema Sawliwala, co-founders of Expedigo Limited — a family-run tourism business based in beautiful New Zealand. Expedigo was born in mid-2023 from our shared love for travel and a desire to help others experience the magic of Aotearoa. What started as a passion project quickly evolved into a full-time venture, and today, we proudly offer personalised, thoughtfully crafted travel experiences across the country.

Between us, we bring a blend of global hospitality experience and a genuine understanding of what makes a journey truly memorable.

Fatema has a rich background in administration, sales, and event management. Her years working in hospitality and international sales in the UK — including with the Intercontinental Hotel Group — gave her a strong eye for detail and a deep understanding of guest expectations. Having explored over 30 countries herself, she knows firsthand the small touches and thoughtful moments that turn a good trip into an unforgettable one. Since moving to New Zealand, she’s also successfully managed major events in the Waikato region, bringing precision and warmth to our travel logistics and guest experiences.

As for Huzefa, my journey has taken me across the UK, UAE, Qatar, India, and New Zealand. With a formal education in hospitality and tourism from both India and the UK, I’ve been fortunate to work with renowned brands like Chef Gordon Ramsay, Four Seasons Hotels, and The Oberoi Group. From managing Michelin-starred restaurants to helping launch luxury hotels in Dubai, my career has always centred around delivering exceptional service. But it’s here in New Zealand that I’ve truly found home — and the inspiration to create Expedigo.
